Why You Should Make This Recipe

    • Not only are bean and cheese tacos absolutely delicious, they're super easy to make and a kid favorite!
    • Perfect for a busy weeknight dinner, it's budget friendly too. All you need is canned beans, cheese and tortillas. Customize the tacos with your favorite extras such as guacamole, restaurant stye salsa, avocado jalapeño sauce, cilantro, rice or even add meat like carnitas, beef or chicken.

    Key Ingredients and Variations

    • Refried beans: I use refried pinto beans, but refried black beans work great too.
    • Shredded cheese: I use a mixture of freshly shredded cheddar and mozzarella, but you can use a pre-shredded Mexican blend.
    • Flour tortillas: taco size. Can be replaced by any tortilla of choice.
    • Toppings: avocado or guacamole, salsa, hot sauce, cilantro, jalapeño, lime.
