- This smoked garlic sauce has such a unique depth of flavor. It's smoky, creamy, garlicky and absolutely delicious.
- It's a restaurant-worthy multipurpose sauce that will turn simple dishes like grilled meats and veggies, burgers or sandwiches, to the next level like my spicy jalapeño sauce.
Key Ingredients and Variations
- Garlic: lots of garlic peeling yes but you can totally use pre-peeled cloves found in the refrigerated section of the grocery store.
- Mayonnaise & sour cream: the base of the smoked garlic sauce. Get a good tasting store-bought mayo. For a healthier twist, replace the sour cream with plain greek yogurt.
- Lemon: the tanginess of the citrus balances the bold, deep flavor of garlic.
- Fresh chives: brings some freshness.
- Salt & pepper.

Top Tips
- Add heat like red pepper flakes if you'd like before blending for a spicier sauce.
- Remove the garlic cloves from the smoker once they're a golden light brown color.
- Don't add too much lemon at once, you can always add more if needed.
- Store the sauce refrigerated in a glass container over plastic (garlic is strong, a plastic container would probably smell like it forever). The sauce will keep for 4 to 5 days.
